Hard copy handed in in lab (please save a slice of a tree and avoid using a cover page - name at the top of the first page is perfectly sufficient), and feel free to share with everyone on the wiki as well - reading a batch of these stories in sequence is an incredibly interesting journey.

Love is a profound, life-altering, and occasionally frustrating and even damaging phenomenon.
It's often confused with lust, which in the end is fleeting, ephemeral, superficial, and easily replaced with another object of lust.
If your technology is interesting you because it's "cool", but you can see another "cool" thing next week and forget entirely this momentary attachment, that's technology lust.
If it's an object you love, you not only have a story about it, it's a story that hits you at the core so hard you're convinced you will tell it with equal fervour in 2030.
So, here, aim for a technology that's more about love than lust.
